Q: Where do I take my vehicle to get detailed?

There is no need to drive your vehicle anywhere. All services are performed at the convenience of your location. A full detail can be completed in an underground parking garage, parking space, one way city street, parking lot at your place of employment, driveway, garage, stadium parking, indoor and outdoor car/boat storage. As long a there is a place to park within 5-10 feet of your vehicle, for the time frame allotted, any service can be performed on site.
If you need to schedule a detail in a location you will not be at, provide us with any entrance codes needed or special parking instructions and we will send an arrival message and completion pictures for you to review before sending you an invoice you can pay online.
If your detail is scheduled in a private community or storage dock, we recommend the customer reach out to their property manager to inform them of the scheduled detail so there are no delays in arrival and start times.

Q: How do I make an appointment?

Pick an available arrival time on a day of your choice. Typical start time windows are 8am-9am, and 12pm-1pm. Arrival windows allow for any unplanned traffic situations that may occur.

Q: Do I have to pay in cash? Can the detail technicial issue change?

We take most form of payments including, Credit, Debit, personal and business checks, Apple Pay, Venmo, Cash App, and cash. For safety concerns, detail technician does not carry cash change.
If you would prefer an added layer of peace of mind when paying, you can request an encrypted invoice powered by SQUARE that you can securely complete online.

Q: Will access to a water source and access to electrical plugs be necessary?

Our specialized equipment draws enough power to cause a situation where home and apartment electrical breakers will get constantly tripped. Lake County Detailers cargo van is built to handle the power draw with its internal electrical generator.
By using on board water tank, self contained electricity and specialty equipment, we can guarantee a faster set up times to start and finish the detail in the most efficient time frame so you can get back to enjoying your freshly detailed vehicle. Relying on inconsistent water flow rates and hard water/well water sources on site would complicate and slow down the standard operation procedures.

Q: Its going to be cold and windy all week, will Lake County Detailers cancel my appointment?

We are designed to work in multiple weather conditions. The only times we are not able to service your vehicle is under heavy rain and when temperatures fall below 30 degrees as our products would freeze on contact with paint and glass. We carry an assortment of products and tools that are designed to perform under a wide temperature and humidity range. We may contact you a couple of days before the scheduled detail to discuss options such as turning a full interior and exterior detail to an interior focused one or to reschedule at your convenience if pulling the vehicle into a covered working area is not a possibility.

Q: It's going to rain within a week of my exterior detail, will that ruin the wax?

Lake County Detailers uses highly concentrated premium products from Korea, Germany and the USA. Having your vehicle serviced before inclement weather ensures your paint has long lasting protection that will not simply wash off.
Dust, dirt, grime and road contamination has a harder time bonding to your paint after a detail than a vehicle which does not enjoy the benefits of wax, sealants and ceramic protection.
While you can reschedule at your convenience at any time since we do not require any form deposits to schedule a detail, it is recommended that a vehicle be protected from the elements.
Having clean and protected windows also further enhances driver safety from water beading and flying off a vehicle with less need for windshield wipers vs water sheeting and sticking to glass and reducing driver visibility.
